  1. Leadership
Military leadership is the process of influencing others to accomplish the mission by providing purpose, direction, and motivation. Command is the authority a person in the military service lawfully exercises over subordinates by virtue of his rank and assignment or position. The basic responsibilities of a leader are: Accomplishment of the mission and the welfare of the soldiers.
  1. Team work
In reality, the effectiveness of teamwork within any military unit is arguably the most important feature of that team. More than numbers or equipment, how well the elements of a unit work together is critical role to the success or failure of that unit in reaching its objective.
  1. Communication
Military communication, the transmission of information from reconnaissance and other units in contact with the enemy and the means for exercising command by the transmission of orders and instructions of commanders to their subordinates. As such, it comprises all means of transmitting messages, orders, and reports, both in the field and between headquarters and distant installations. Military communication has thus long played an important role in warfare.
  1. Problem Solving
Military leaders make decisions and solve problems every day. Some need a decision quickly while others can take time. The Army Problem Solving Model (Process) is a systematic approach to identifying the best possible solution to an issue or problem and a deliberate method of decision-making. The seven-step process in military problem solving:
    1. Identify the problem,
    2. Gather information and knowledge,
    3. Develop criteria,
    4. Generate possible solutions,
    5. Analyse possible solution,
    6. Compare possible solution,
    7. Make and implement the decision.
